For more than 50 years, the Lucy Moses School has been providing thousands of people with the opportunity to make music a part of their lives. The Lucy Moses School is located in the cultural heart of Manhattan, near Lincoln Center, and is considered one of the finest community performing arts schools in the United States. Private and group instruction in nearly all instruments and voice is offered.
Lucy Moses School offers two exciting group classes for 2012. Introduction to Jazz allows instrumental and vocal students to develop improvisational skills on their specific instruments by using basic scales and chords in conjunction with jazz repertoire. Jazz piano workshop is ideal for pianists with basic knowledge of scales and harmony. Improve your skills and learn chords for swing, bop, Latin and modern jazz. Develop techniques for improvisation, melody and accompaniment. Private lessons allow you to study privately with professionally trained instructors for 2 hours per week for a minimum of 2 weeks.
At Rennert, students attend English classes for 16, 20 or 30 hours per week where they will improve listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. Whether you want to become a professional musician or just want to enhance your English studies by developing your musical talent, Rennert's Music / English program is for you! Students must bring their own instruments, except for piano and drums.
